The CAT D5K bulldozer is a medium-sized crawler bulldozer produced by Caterpillar. The total working weight of the machine is 9,408 kg. It is equipped with a C4.4 ACERT engine, with a net power of 71.6 kW. The dozer blade capacity is 2.09 m³. It has strong thrust and torque, and is capable of handling various terrains and working conditions.
1. Power System
Equipped with Caterpillar C4.4 ACERT engine, with a rated power of 71.6kW. It adopts ACERT technology, which maintains the engine performance while reducing emissions and complies with Tier 3/Stage IIIA emission standards. The engine is designed compactly, and the cab is positioned forward, enhancing the machine's balance and operational comfort.
2. Operating Performance
The bucket digging force is 177kN, the dipper rod digging force is 187kN, the maximum traction force is 261kN, the rotation speed is 10.3 rpm, and the maximum traveling speed is 37.4 km/h. Equipped with the high-performance series bucket, the bucket base plate is longer, enabling easy penetration of the material pile, and the bucket filling coefficient can reach 100% - 115%.
3. Structural Design
The front and rear frames adopt a plate structure. The overall center of gravity is well distributed, with a long wheelbase design and increased counterweight, resulting in excellent stability during operation. The large arm, small arm, and walking motor brackets are all reinforced with thick metal plates to meet the requirements of harsh working conditions such as quarries and construction sites.
4. Operational Comfort
The cab adopts the D-series design and is equipped with a 14-outlet air conditioning control system. The ergonomic seats can be adjusted in multiple directions. It is equipped with a rearview camera and LED lighting. An optional panoramic camera system is available to provide a 360° bird's-eye view. The cab has a wide field of vision, excellent sound insulation and sealing performance, and good vibration reduction effect.
5. Facilitate maintenance
The lubrication points are centrally arranged, equipped with practical components such as anti-slip plates, which speeds up the maintenance process. Key components are easy to disassemble and replace, reducing downtime. The electrical connectors adopt a waterproof standard exceeding 6K9K protection level, ensuring the normal operation of the electrical system even in humid environments.
6. Hydraulic System
A load-sensing hydraulic system is adopted, which can automatically adjust according to the operating environment. It only provides the hydraulic flow required by the machinery, achieving higher fuel efficiency. The maximum flow rate of the hydraulic system is 305L/min, with a working pressure ranging from 33.3 to 36.3 MPa. It is equipped with a new type of hydraulic valve, facilitating maintenance and improving the weight distribution of the machine.
