The Volvo EC240 excavator, as a 24-ton medium-sized excavator, stands out in the medium-sized excavator market due to its efficient power system, advanced hydraulic technology, sturdy structural design, and comfortable operation experience.
1. Power System
Equipped with Volvo D7E engine, with a rated power of 130kW at 2000rpm, it adopts common rail direct injection and turbocharging technology, featuring low-speed high-torque characteristics. It is perfectly matched with the hydraulic pump, and the fuel efficiency is improved by approximately 10%. The engine is equipped with automatic idle, automatic shutdown, and intelligent delayed shutdown functions, reducing unnecessary fuel consumption and wear.
2. Hydraulic Performance
A dual-variable axial piston pump is adopted. The maximum flow rate of the main pump is 2×230L/min, and the working hydraulic oil circuit pressure is 31.4/34.3MPa. The digging force of the bucket is 160.8kN (standard mode) / 175.5kN (enhanced mode), the digging force of the boom is 111.1kN (standard mode) / 121.6kN (enhanced mode), and the maximum traction force is 208.9kN.

4. Structural Design
The upper and lower frame structures, the boom/dump stick, the traveling mechanism frame and the wear-resistant components have all been reinforced to ensure a long service life. The cab adopts the Volvo Careful design, featuring low noise, low vibration and a wide field of vision. It is equipped with a high-performance climate control system and a vibration reduction system.
5. Ensuring Convenience
The lubrication points are centrally arranged, and the anti-slip steps and platforms make maintenance from the ground much easier. The hydraulic system requires fewer hoses, reducing the need for connectors, lowering maintenance requirements and enhancing reliability.
