The modern HX225HD is a 22-ton medium-sized heavy-duty crawler excavator. The total working weight of the machine is 22,070 kg. It is equipped with the Hyundai HM5.9 six-cylinder diesel engine, with a rated power of 112 kW. It is mainly used for earthwork, crushing, municipal, and heavy-duty infrastructure construction scenarios. The "HD" in the name represents the heavy-duty enhanced version. The structure, chassis, and hydraulic system have all been reinforced and upgraded to balance output, fuel consumption, and cost performance. It is the high-value and cost-effective main model among the 22-ton joint venture machines from China and South Korea.
1.The power hydraulic system combines strength with fuel efficiency, and is adaptable to various working conditions.
Equipped with the self-developed HM5.9 engine, it outputs a peak torque of 628 N·m at a low speed of 1500 rpm, ensuring no speed drop during heavy-load excavation and crushing. The load-sensing dual-pump hydraulic system, combined with the ECO energy-saving, standard, and heavy-load three-speed power modes, intelligently matches the load output. The bucket has strong excavation force, smooth compound actions, excellent fuel consumption control for the same tonnage conventional earthwork, and stable loading cycle efficiency.
2. HD heavy-duty reinforced structure, highly wear-resistant and deformable, with long service life
Exclusive thickened large and small arm wear-resistant steel plates for HD; key weld seams are reinforced; X-shaped strengthened frame, pentagonal box-type crawler frame, standard full lubrication support wheels and thickened crawler plates are equipped; the bucket capacity range is 0.92–1.34 m³, customizable; suitable for rock buckets and crushing accessories; it is less prone to cracking in hard soil and gravel during long-term operation, and the chassis has better impact resistance than the standard model.
3. Low maintenance costs, affordable parts, and minimal downtime losses
The maintenance points are centrally arranged, and oil and filter replacements can be completed on the ground. The domestic production rate of the entire machine's parts is high, with original factory parts priced reasonably, and there is an abundance of aftermarket parts available on the market. The cost of maintenance labor and consumables is much lower than that of imported machines from Europe and America. The cooling system has been designed with an increased capacity, making it less prone to overheating failures in hot construction sites. The engine has multiple filters to extend the oil replacement cycle.
4. The cab is fully equipped, providing high levels of safety, comfort and intelligence.
Standard features include a panoramic anti-rockfall cab, suspended shock-absorbing seats, and a constant temperature heating and cooling air conditioning system. Optional features include AAVM panoramic surround-view imaging to reduce construction blind spots. The large-screen touch control instrument panel provides real-time display of fuel consumption, load, and fault codes, with automatic idling and start-stop fuel-saving functions. The operation handles are gentle in force, reducing fatigue during long-term crushing and leveling operations. The circuit wiring is waterproof and dustproof, and the failure rate is low in harsh construction environments.
