The Kobelco SK140LC excavator adopts high-pressure common rail fuel injection technology, with prompt power response. It has sufficient power reserve in the 14-ton class. The engine and hydraulic system are optimally matched, resulting in high fuel efficiency.
1.Fuel economy
With the intelligent hydraulic system and power optimization management technology, the fuel consumption is reduced by approximately 8-10% compared to the previous model. Under standard operating conditions, the overall fuel consumption performance is excellent. Some users have reported that the fuel consumption is around 15 liters per hour.
2. Excavation Force Performance
The bucket excavation force is approximately 90.1 kN, and the dipper excavation force is approximately 64.4 kN. These figures place it at a medium to upper level among 14-ton class excavators. The standard bucket size is 0.38 - 0.57 m³, providing a moderate excavation volume and a balanced performance in terms of operational efficiency.
3. Hydraulic System
It adopts a load-sensing hydraulic system or CLSS system, which ensures good coordination of compound actions and high precision of micro-operation. The rotation speed is approximately 11 rpm. The walking speed can be adjusted in two gears (5.6/3.4 km/h), and the operation cycle time is reasonable.
4. Mine Adaptability
For heavy-duty conditions, the four-wheel-and-one-axle design adopts an enhanced version. The width of the track plate can be selected as 500mm or 600mm. It exhibits stable durability in mining, earthwork engineering, and other working conditions. Some users have reported that the failure rate is relatively low under continuous operation conditions.
