The Komatsu PC430 excavator is equipped with the Komatsu SAA6D125E-5 engine, with a rated power of 257kW (350 horsepower), a displacement of 11.04L, and adopts high-pressure common rail fuel injection technology, turbocharging and intercooling technology. The engine and hydraulic system are optimally matched, and at the rated speed of 1900 rpm, it can output approximately 700N·m of maximum torque. The power reserve is sufficient, and it can still maintain stable output under heavy-load mining conditions. It also performs well in adapting to high-altitude environments.
1.Fuel Economy
Thanks to technologies such as the CLSS closed-center load sensing hydraulic system and the Intelligent Power Management (IPM) system, the fuel consumption has been reduced by approximately 8-10% compared to the previous model. Under standard operating conditions, the overall fuel consumption performance is excellent. Some users have reported that the hourly fuel consumption is 3-5 liters lower than that of competitors in the same category. Long-term use results in significant savings in fuel costs. The ECO mode can automatically adjust the power output according to the working conditions, further optimizing fuel efficiency.
2. Hydraulic System
The system adopts the CLSS closed-center load-sensing hydraulic system. The maximum flow rate of the main pump is approximately 722 L/min. The coordination of the combined actions is good, and the precision of micro-operation is relatively high. The rotation speed is about 9.1 rpm. The walking speed can be adjusted in three gears (3.0/4.0/5.5 km/h), and the operation cycle time is reasonable. The overall operation efficiency is competitive among the same level. Some users have reported that the operation is fast and powerful. Compared with the previous generation, the speed on flat ground and the efficiency of excavation operations have increased by more than 10% in this version.
3. Mine Adaptability
For heavy-duty operating conditions, the four-wheel and one-axle configuration (including the track plate, supporting wheels, etc.) adopts an enhanced design. The width of the track plate is 600mm (optional 800mm), and the slewing bearings are equipped with enhanced configurations. Under heavy-duty operating conditions such as in mines and large earthwork projects, the durability performance is stable. Some users have reported that in continuous operation conditions in mines, the failure rate is relatively low, and there is no major repair record after continuous operation for 2000 hours.
